Camp Woodworth Recap for 2022

Director — Michael Sherman

Ephesians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus”.

God’s Promises

God’s promises are sure. He always keeps his word. He is faithful to accomplish His plans through His people. I want to thank each of you for your faithfulness through the sacrifice of prayer, support and ministry here at Camp Woodworth. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed as it says in 2 Chronicles 16:9 “for the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” May the Lord bless each of you for your service to God.

January 2022 –

Way Point South Church began using our Chapel here at Camp Woodworth. After their first Sunday a winter windstorm brought down two large tree sections onto the roof of the ladies restroom. This caused damage to the roof and trusses supporting the restroom. What do we do when these challenges come upon us and are greater than our own abilities or talents? We pray! John 14:13 & 14 “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” This was a test of our faith in God. Sam Froh and his wife Anna who are living at the camp went to work getting bids to reroof the restroom. We were blessed to select a Christian roofing company (lowest bid) by God’s leading and direction. Even at that the cost of roofing and supplies/labor was not in our budget. Word was shared between Christians and Churches and God supplied all the money for the entire amount needed. Miracle after miracle we have seen from the hand of God.

In addition to Way Point South using the “the Camp” throughout the winter, spring and summer we had a number of other churches conducting family camps, men’s retreats, church planning sessions, wedding receptions, church campouts, church picnics, family picnics and our yearly “Applefest”.

On July 12th

On July 12th our Camp Director had hip replacement surgery. The camp director’s wife now had all the usual shared responsibilities resting on her shoulders. But God was her ever present help in time of need. We are so very thankful for all the prayers and loving hands who have come along side to help.

For the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of the camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that He see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee. Deuteronomy 23:14 (KJV)
